Petoskey Rocks!

Buffed and Polished, Petoskey Rocks! is returning in July 2014 for it's third season!

We can't wait to share with you the new look of Petoskey Rocks! At the beginning of May, we'll start rolling out the details, but for now save these dates:

July 4 - Celebrate the 4th!
July 11 - Petoskey Rocks!
July 18 - Rockin' the Art Scene!
July 24 - Sidewalk Sales!
August 1 - Petoskey Proud!

Art in the Park


Always the third Saturday in July - July 19th, 2014 - artists from all over the United States descend upon Downtown Petoskey to show off their wares. For over 30 years, approximately 130 booths have graced Pennsylvania Park, with items ranging from pottery to jewelry, from paintings to photographs, and much more.  You are invited to join the thousands of art lovers who attend the event annually to purchase and admire art created by some of the finest artists in the Midwest and from around the country.  Hours for the event are 10 am to 6pm.  The event is sponsored by the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce and more information can be found on their website www.petoskey.com



Festival on the Bay

Come to Petoskey for our 12th Annual Festival on the Bay Friday, the third weekend in August, August 14 through Sunday, August 17, 2014!  The Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce sponsors this regional, signature event.   For more details on events, please visit www.petoskeyfestival.com.  Festival on the Bay features include: Live Music, Triathlon, Bay Cruises, an Arts & Crafts Show, a nightly celebration of our "Million Dollar Sunsets" and much more!

During Festival on the Bay, take a little break from the waterfront activities and visit Downtown Petoskey!  Enjoy our unique shops, fine dining, and exceptional service and discover why guests and locals alike treasure Petoskey from the shores to the stores.

49th Annual Sidewalk Sales

Bag the Best in 2014!

Looking for bargains galore, entertainment, food, and fun? Look no further than Downtown Petoskey Sidewalk Sales, Friday, July 25, 9 am until 9 pm. and Saturday, July 26 from 9 am until 5pm. From shoes to handbags, shirts to dresses, scarves to jewelry, furniture, gifts, and hardware, shoppers can find the best Downtown Petoskey has to offer for the best prices of the year.

The annual Sidewalk Sales provide our Downtown merchants with the opportunity to move their stores into the streets, and present their wares in a traditional, old-fashioned sidewalk sales venue. As always, streets in Downtown Petoskey will be closed off to everything but foot traffic, and sidewalk dining options from our fabulous restaurants are available.

In addition to the lure of great bargains in an outdoor festival environment, Sidewalk Sales will also provide entertainment for the entire family with the Farmers Market on Friday on Howard Street between Mitchell and Michigan Streets from 8:30 am to mid-afternoon. 

If you would like a break from shopping, the Charlotte Ross Lee Concerts in the Park series will hold a concert at noon and again in the evening.  

So mark your calendars for this great shopping experience! Come early to get the best bargains, and stay for the day in our beautiful and historic Downtown, where you’ll find Treasures from the Shores to the Stores.

Celebrate our nation's birthday in Petoskey!

  • 6:00 pm Parade - The parade begins at the High School and continues to Downtown to Mitchell Streort  to Petoskey Street to Lake Street and ends at Pennsylvania Park.
