Friday nights will rock in Downtown Petoskey with the second season of Petoskey Rocks!Everyone is invited to come Downtown every Friday night from June 14 to August 9, 6 pm to 9 pmm for music on the streeets, free horse-drawn carriage rides, Ghost Walks, Story Time for small children, a family Movie in thePark at Dark and Rockin' main events. Help us celebrate what makes this area such a special place to live, work, and visit.
June 14 - Rock Your Body! – Learn about great (and fun) ways to get in shape for the summer - from great fresh food to exercise. Bring your bikes, take a brisk walk, do yoga or Zumba in the park enjoy the hospitality of participating stores who will have great healthy info or tastings. Gear up for Summer!
June 21 - Science Rocks! – It's all scientific! See science experiments, a youth science fair throughout Downtown, robotics demonstrations, and more. Explore the biology of brewing, the chemistry of coffee, the physics of photons, textile technology, and the science of food.
June 28 - Cookout in Petoskey! – Enjoy the great tastes of Downtown. Highlights will be the wonderful foods and products available in the Downtown community that residents and visitors can use to bring their summer season to new heights.
July 5 - History Rocks! -The Little Traverse Historical Society will preent an Historic Festival in Downtown, with historic photos in stores, costumed characters, and more. Learn more about the history of our area, explore Downtown stores celebrating their own history.
July 12 - Rock! the Community– Stores will host local non-profit and community organizataions that will explain and demonstrate their individual missions and the contributions they make to our entire community.
July 19 - Rock! the Shops – Learn more about all of the new products coming to Downtown stores for fall and winter. There will be trunk shows and demos in the stores.
July 26 - Sidewalk Sales – Sidewalk Sales will continue into the evening hours. There will be a music in the streets and a Concert in the Park and a Movie in the Park at Dark.
August 2 - Rock the Arts! - Stores will be hosting artists from the local areawho will explain and demonstrate their talents, artwork, and methods so you can get to know these cultural leaders of our town.
August 9 - Rock the Future! - Recognize and enjoy the talents and energy of the youth of the Petoskey area. The evening will include performances and demonstrations of all sorts throughout Downtown.
Art in the Park

Always the third Saturday in July - July 20th, 2013 - artists from all over the United States descend upon Downtown Petoskey to show off their wares. For over 25 years, approximately 130 booths have graced Pennsylvania Park, with items ranging from pottery to jewelry, from paintings to photographs, and much more. You are invited to join the thousands of art lovers who attend the event annually to purchase and admire art created by some of the finest artists in the Midwest and from around the country. Hours for the event are 10 am to 6pm. The event is sponsored by the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce and more information can be found on their website www.petoskey.com.
Festival on the Bay
Come to Petoskey for our 11th Annual Festival on the Bay Friday, the third weekend in August, August 16 through Sunday, August 17, 2013! The Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce sponsors this regional, signature event. For more details on events, please visit www.petoskeyfestival.com. Festival on the Bay features include: Live Music, Triathlon, Bay Cruises, an Arts & Crafts Show, a nightly celebration of our "Million Dollar Sunsets" and much more!
During Festival on the Bay, take a little break from the waterfront activities and visit Downtown Petoskey. Sidewalk Sales
The Petoskey Downtown Management Board invites you to Downtown’s "2013 Annual Sidewalk Sales." Mark you calendars for the last weekend in July, Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27, 2013. Hours are 9am to 8 pm on Friday and 9 am to 5 pm on Saturday. Plenty of entertainment, food, fun, and of course sensational values from participating downtown merchants will abound.
This once-a-year event features more than 100 downtown businesses joining forces to offer you great savings on some of the finest merchandise to be discovered in downtowns anywhere.
Sales begin at 9 am on Friday. Don’t be late!

Celebrate our nation's birthday in Petoskey!
6:00 pm Parade - The parade begins at the High School and continues to Downtown to Mitchell Streort to Petoskey Street to Lake Street and ends at Pennsylvania Park.
7:00 pm Entertainment - Enjoy performances at the Waterfront. Concessions provided by local Vietnam Veterans.
7:00-8:30 pm Ice Cream Social - At Little Traverse Regional Historical Society Museum
