Beginning in mid June and continuing Friday mornings throughout the summer, the block of Howard Street between Mitchell and Michigan Streets (between JC Penney's and Julienne Tomatoes) will be closed off to welcome local producers and the bounty of fresh items that they have to offer. Stop by and find everything that you would need for a wonderful meal, from organic meats to fresh fruits and vegetables, and even flowers to finish off the table. The Downtown Petoskey Farmers Market is sponsored by the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce. More information can be found on their website, www.petoskey.com.
The mission of the Downtown Petoskey Farmers Market is to promote the image and economic development of Downtown Petoskey and economic development within the local agricultural community, as well as to give those who grow, fish, forage, and harvest a place to be rewarded for their efforts.
