Downtown Trick-or-Treat & Jack-O-Lantern Walk

Be ye pumpkin, princess, or pirate with superpowers, join us on Saturday, October 27th at Central Elementary School at 9:45 a.m. and be ready to walk the plank down Howard Street to Pennsylvania Park in Downtown Petoskey! The Costume Parade starts at 10 a.m.

Visit our Downtown Stores that display the Trick or Treat poster on their door for great treats & treasures.Trick or Treat your way through Downtown Petoskey from 10 a.m. to Noon!


Keep an eye out for businesses with a teal pumpkin, these businesses will be handing out non-food treats for trick-or-treater's with food allergies or other conditions.



Join Grain Train for their 8th annual Spooky Co-op Kid’s Tasting from 10am - noon! During this time, children have the opportunity to try and vote on spooktactular treats throughout the store!

Stick around for a kid’s buffet at Stafford’s Perry Hotel Noggin Room! Price is $2.99 per child with purchase of a full price item from the Noggin Room menu. Kid’s Buffet includes, chicken fingers, mac and cheese, fries, fruit and cookies.

Enjoy a Pumpkin and a Pint at Beards Brewery from 11am - 1pm! Carve your pumpkin, enjoy a pint (or a soda) and pizza then bring your pumpkin to Pennsylvnia Park for the Jack O’ Lantern Walk!

Beards will be offering:

  • Unlimited pizza and soda, $8

  • Pumpkin carving, $7

  • Unlimited pizza, soda AND pumpkin carving, $14

At dusk on Saturday, October 27th, Downtown Petoskey will host the first Jack O’ Lantern walk through Pennsylvania Park!

Help us line the sidewalks of the park with as many Jack O’ Lanterns as we can!

Bring your already carved pumpkin to Pennsylvania Park between noon and 6pm. Each carved pumpkin you bring, gets you entered into the Halloween JACKPot!

The Jack O’ Lanterns will be lit at sunset (6:30pm) for your festive enjoyment!

Keeping It Green…..

After the walk, all pumpkins will be donated to Emmet County Recycling for Compost

Store Activities

  • Visit Wanda the Wacky Witch at Grandpa Shorter’s Gifts from 10 am - noon! Wanda will be doing strolling magic and making Halloween balloon creatures. Kids can get treated and tricked!
