On the second day, there was chocolate and all were happy.
Imagine an adult Halloween minus the tiny Mr. Goodbars and the itsy bitsy Nestle Crunch Bars. Think more fancy, like, dark chocolate, tempting nibs of gourmet cacao, and maybe even a little wine on the side. #feastonchocolate.
That’s the Chocoholic Frolic on Friday, February 16th from 3 to 7 p.m. You can shop till you drop, but at the same time eat candy. No, you can #feastonchocolate! Have you gotten the hint yet?
After you recover from Thursday’s progressive dinner, relax and rest until 3 p.m. then head back to Downtown Petoskey and begin walking, knowing you’re burning calories which of course can be made up by chocolate. #feastonchocolate. (Subliminal advertising at its best.)
So you may have your ticket punched at every shop, keep track of the Downtown Petoskey website for participating venues, because you’ll need to pick up a shopping card at a participating store or the Downtown Office on Pennsylvania Park. Doing this qualifies you for the Chocoholic Gift Basket. #feastonchocolate.
If the need arises for a little diversity in the day, head over to the Perry Hotel and enjoy the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society’s dueling pianos from 6 to 9 p.m. There will be a hors d’ oeuvres, a cash bar, a silent auction, and dancing. Tickets are $50 and available now! Thus, more calorie burning for you after you #feastonchocolate.
For the all-encompassing night, plan on a Ghost Walk. You can waltz directly from the dance floor to the line awaiting Chris Struble and his annual frolic among the spirits of our past, beginning at the Perry Hotel. Ticket’s are $15, but don’t forget to #feastonchocolate.
However you may plan your evening, the fun of the Petoskey Winter Carnival continues throughout the weekend. Oh, and please #feastonchocolate!
